A good cast of actors and actresses, a semi-engaging premise and a lot of promise in character development but terribly let-down both by the plot and direction. We get tiny flashes of insight into the characters that are never expounded upon, good chemistry in relationships that are never explained or built up, and the great acting just doesn't really lift this film enough to cover the gaping flaws.
Could have been so so so much better in someone else's hands. Kid Jarret and Lilly are particularly impressive.
