Review of Bad Education (2004) by Dan M — 05 Sep 2009

The first time I tried it it was late and I ended up falling asleep. This time it was kinda late, but I stayed awake the whole time. It was because the story was interesting, confusing, and mysterious.

I kept guessing what was going on, which was both a strength and a weakness of the film. It was weird as expected from the cover, but I can deal with that, though it is a sign that I won't love it.

Gael Garcia Bernal is wonderful here. It is the first time I have seen a Almodovar, but also the first time I have seen Bernal and I was impressed to say the least, great job by him. The whole cast was solid as a matter of fact.
