Review of Bad Education (2004) by Zvezdana S — 01 Aug 2009

I wanted to see this film for the longest time primarily because of Gael Garcia Bernal's role in it and wow, he truly did impress. He did a fantastic job in this very captivating, intriguing and seedy tale of crime, love & deceit.

At times it was slightly difficult to keep up with but at the end it all came together. I definitely think this is a flick that I'd want to watch more than once to fully comprehend and appreciate.

I love the artistic way this film is done and I also loved the narrative throughout. It certainly kept me interested in the plot and what was going to come of it all with a few shocks along the way. Though Gael Garcia Bernal definitely stole the show for me, I have to say that Fele Martinez (being an actor I'd never heard of) did an almost equally wonderful job in this.

This was a very interesting and intriguing film for me. Not what I expected at all and I liked that about it.
