Review of Bad Education (2004) by Mihai K — 23 May 2010
The movie is based on a heavy story and it was passionate directed by Almodóvar. Those who got used to the bright color and humorist plots from his earliest movies will be surprised by the darkness and vulnerability that this movie brings. Although it can cause strangeness at first, the colors, the main characteristics and traces are still there. The powerful impersonation given by Gael García Bernal is also an essential part of the film and it helps us capture the intimacy and exposition never showed before.
This is Almodóvar at his best.
