Review of Bad Boys II (2003) by Jay L — 22 Jun 2013
"The most dysfunctional two narcotic cops are back...".
Director Michael Bay collaborates with Producer Jerry Bruckheimer once again in this stylish and intensely action packed comedy. Another typical Michael Bayfilm the entertainment factor is high, but the smart factor doesn't exist. Bad Boys 2 has all of the elements of the first film along with some much better special effects, it's entertaining as hell for the entirety. A slam-bang buddy cop comedy, it's explosive, it's wild, and thoroughly enjoyable. Bay's humor doesnt appeal to many, but I've got somewhat of a knack for it. The humor along with the nonstop action make Bad Boys 2 2.5 hours of pure enjoyment. Drugs, guns, bullets, cops, explosions, car chases, women, and slap-stick witty comedy, this film won't appeal to everyone, but I enjoyed it immensely. Then again I'm a Michael Bay fan.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back doing their police work in Miami, and these two still have great comedic chemistry together. 2 foul-mouthed cops that are complete opposites that always seem to find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. It also co-stars Joe Pantoliano, Peter Stomare, Teresa Randle, and Gabrielle Union.
The trash talking never ends, the bullets keep flying, and Michael Bay has made yet another blockbuster that does what it's supposed to....Entertain.
