Review of Bad Boy Bubby (1993) by Phil W — 20 Jul 2007
Blown away...utterly and completely speechless...shocked...in awe. Just some of the things I felt after watching this movie. Incomaparable to anything else that I've ever seen. De Heer's film is a brave and utterly convincing analysis of human spirit and experience.
Using opposite extremes to highlight the possibilities/choices that are on offer to us (as self-conscious creatures) during our lives. Technically and cinematically adventurous too, with a stunning central performance from Nicholas Hope, Bad Boy Bubby is cinematic perfection in my eyes.
