Review of Bad Ass (2012) by Jarrett M — 05 Aug 2012
Bad Ass is a well intentioned film, at least I think it is, but it never really acheives the goal it sets out to. At least I hope that the end result was not the goal. The story is pretty rudimentary, but that's not uncommon, however nearly everything else is pretty bad.
The writing is rather terrible, giving several cringe-worthy lines of dialogue; the effects, while not very plentiful are not very special either; and for the most part, the acting is on the terrible side of the coin.
Danny Trejo and Ron Perlman are probably the best known actors in the film, and while they both try to do the best they can with what their given, it just can't save the S.S. Sinking Ship. I recommend staying away from this film, there really isn't much worth checking out here.
