Review of Backdraft (1991) by David B — 11 Apr 2012

First of all, all the stunts done in this film are real and no crappy CGI, secondly this is beautiful to watch, it's a strange word to use in a action drama film like this, but they film the fire scenes as if it's a character in the film.

The action scenes are amazing and keep you on the edge, the A-list cast are wonderful and really push to the limits in their characters. It's not just action, it's a drama too. The script is brilliant and fantasicly directed by Ron Howard, I can't stop saying how good the stunts are.

..because they are. This film does make me cry towards the end but that's because the cast put their hearts into it. Brilliant action packed film with perfect balance of mellow drama that's not other the top and some one or two witty moments.

Perfect film.
