Review of Backcountry (2015) by Scott W — 06 Sep 2015

This movie really surprised me being not only a low-budget film but a Canadian low-budget film. This is how you do horror, build up slowly and increase the tension slowly until the inevitable horrific events unfold. This movie has some of the most convincing and disgusting gore effects I've ever seen and the attack scene disturbed me more than I expected.

Hell even if you hate the characters at first, you start to somewhat like them and then the shit hits the fan. The movie hits close to home too featuring backcountry Ontario, something I know quite well. Horror fans, this is a must see!
