I can't imagine how much this movie would've been a mind fuck to them Back to the Future Fans in the 80's. It's less awkward, and more confusing than the first film. For this reason it's neither better or worse, but more "on par".
It's easier for me in the end to rate the trilogy as one big film rather than 3 separately, even if on this occasion I only watched the second one.
