Review of Back to the Future Part II (1989) by Robert H — 16 Jan 2013
The sequel to the classic Back to the Future isn't bad but is a tad too goofy (the gags of the future). Still it aligns itself with the original and revisits it in unique sequences. The problem with the movie is that there is no way that the series can stand apart from the first one as everything is rehashes from that.
The problem is also part of its charm. When Doc Brown came back at the end of the first one and the sequel was set up who knew what was going to happen next? The production of this is cool because it picks up and retarces the steps of the original.
Elisabeth Shue is neato but where's original Jennifer? Where's Crispin? I liked a lot of the alternate scene of the 50's.
