Review of Back to the Future Part II (1989) by Jon P — 28 Jan 2013
Deliriously entertaining and hilariously imaginative, Robert Zemeckis' time-travelling sequel is a cinematic joy from start to finish. Social satire, self-parody and suspense are laid down so well that the film's plot holes appear completely paved over; and Zemeckis' toying with notions of rewriting history and character-meets-older-self conflict are equally as absorbing as they are amusing.
Zesty, animated and fabulously funny; this iconic sequel will live on in our hearts for generations.
