Review of Back to the Future (1985) by Philip L — 28 Aug 2014
I first saw this in 1986 on it's original release and at the time it was very well received and I rather enjoyed it. Fast forward almost 30 years I am sitting in a mock up of Hill Valley in East London and it is obvious the love that people have for what is arguably the greatest film of the '80s.
It is now as nostalgic towards that decade than it was for the '50s. One of those rare films that you can start watching at any point and watch to the end. The ultimate feel good film - who can not be moved by George McFly kissing Lorraine on the dance floor of the 'Enchantment Under The Sea' to the sounds of 'Earth Angel' morphing into Alan Silvestri's iconic score.
Perfect.
