Review of Back to the Future (1985) by Renzo V — 15 Sep 2014
"MARTY MCFLY AND THE DELOREAN".
- 'Back to the Future' is a 1985 sci-fi adventure film directed and co-written by Robert Zemeckis (Death Becomes Her, Beowolf) and produced by Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park, ET). A feel-good adventure film about a boy who travels back in time where he has to make sure his parents get together. I love the characters, the humor and the storyline. Featuring one of the most know vehicles of cinema: the DeLorean! With Michael J. Fox (Class of 1984, Mars Attacks!), Christopher Lloyd (the Addams Family, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?), Crispin Glover (Willard, What's Eating Gilbert Grape), Lea Thompson (Jaws 3-D, the Little Rascals) and Thomas F. Wilson (April Fool's Day, The Heat).
When teenager Marty McFly (Fox) meets his friend, Doc Brown (Lloyd) late at night on a parking lot of a shopping mall, he witnesses how the mad scientist has created a car that travels in time. Because Doc Brown used plutonium that he stole from Libyan terrorists, his life is in danger. When the criminals show up, Marty sees no other way than to use the car. He travels back in time to the year 1955, the day his parents met. But when following his father George (Glover), he gets hit by a car. This causes that he is the one his mother Lorainne (Thompson) meets. This event will change the future, so that Marty and his siblings will never be born. His only chance is to make sure George and Lorainne get together. But local bully Biff Tannen (Wilson) causes even more trouble...
