Review of Back to School (1986) by Dylan C — 13 Feb 2011
A wonderfully written, directed, and acted comedy staring the unforgettable Rodney Dangerfield going back to college. Well-worn "new kid on campus" formula is put to good use here by integrating "father and son" and "fish out of water" themes.
Dangerfield delivers laughs in every scene, coming across as throughly likable and hilariously exuberant. The hackneyed story ultimately prevents this film from becoming a classic.
