Review of Bachelorette (2012) by Elijah C — 25 Mar 2018
A poor attempt to show how everyone has a deeper underlying pain and we should never judge him/her based on the surface yet one of the most surface level films I've seen. The characters all hate themselves and everyone around them, there is litte chemistry amongst the actors, and so much yelling.
The film only hints at the issues the characters face and instead of developing these things, the other characters overlook them by being an idiot and yelling some obsenity or wanting to use drugs. This movie was close, I wanted to like it, but the film doesn't work because there is no break-through.
The characters don't do anything about their problems, I'm not saying they have to be solved, but as friends no one tries to actually help the other and makes this film difficult to watch.
