Review of Babysitter Wanted (2007) by Joshua T — 06 Mar 2009
Babysitter Wanted should be extremely refreshing for horror fans. Without giving too much away, I will say that it's far from your normal babysitter in peril movie. This is not When A Stranger Calls or anything similar to that. The lead character is actually likeable and thinks like a functioning human being, so that we can root for her when she's in danger. The moments of tension and suspense are quite good as well and kept me on the edge of my seat in more than a few spots. There's some great twists and turns to be enjoyed here and its somewhat original in its execution. It also leaves it open for what could be a pretty awesome sequel.
Check it out if you want to take a break from all the remakes, "reboots", and PG-13 crud. You'll have lots of fun.
