Review of Babylon A.D. (2008) by Austin T — 18 May 2010

First of all I think I should start by saying that I think this movie deserves alot more credit than its getting.

Its getting absolutely smashed by people but I dont really see what the big deal is. its just a typical vin diesel action sci fi similar to riddick but not.

Everyone knows the type of character diesel plays and the types of movies hes in so can you really expect anything more?

Well babylon a.d. was entertaining. never really boring and never really epic it stands for a solid 3 stars.

The action is cool and theres plenty of it and while I think some of the martial arts and fighting could have been directed better, its all still fun to watch.

I do have one problem and that is with the girl. she is SO annoying. like when everyone is laughing and having a good time and she just pops out and says "we're all going to die in new york.".

What was that? and when spazzes out, man thats just stressful. my step dad couldnt take it anymore he had to walk out of the room and have a toilet break. but its only twice where she freaks out so I think thats for the best. story is interesting enough but the script is really weird sometimes but really, again what did you expect. theres also some nifty sci fi inventions everywhere like that little map but youll know when you see it.

Well in the end I enjoyed babylon a.d. and while it may not be for everyone it should entertain fans of sci fi action.
