Review of Babylon A.D. (2008) by Igor K — 19 Nov 2009
Vin Diesel definitely can't learn to improve his acting, and is boxed in a action copy paste slot. Kassovitz again made a very messy storyline and had some very serious directing faults. The story is not fully developed, the end is a real catastrophic failure with pathetic ending of endless happiness and leaving out a big part of story.
And if you learn that Kassovitz's girlfriend's name is also Aurora as the virgin maiden's name in the movie then you got some things to think about. Sometimes action, combined with French sci fi futuristic art vision and a solid Asian star like Yeoh is not enough as the ingredients to make it a good movie, even if the main chef is a French one.
