Review of Babylon A.D. (2008) by Jacob M — 10 Oct 2012

I honestly enjoyed this movie. Some people are saying the plot had too many holes and such, but it all made sense to me. It combined things I love to see in an action movie, dystopian future, eastern europe, explosions, and some element of genetic alterations on a human. If you want a movie to see for its philosophical value, this is not it, dont get me wrong. But if you want a movie with a buff dude fucking shit up, this is worth watching.

It is somewhat overly ambitious though. Diesel, while great for the action aspect of the movie, is NOT who you want when making a movie which also deals with the deeper implications of religion on a society spiraling out of control. But I couldnt give less of a fuck. I enjoyed this movie immensely, I think I watched it like three times, but thats just me.
