I would have expected more from Tina Fey but not from this premise. The comedy is predictable and low-key, and the romantic subplot with Greg Kinnear is completely nonsensical. The tender moments just don't work and it's not consistently funny enough to pad out its run time.
If you go in with low expectations you'll probably have them met.
