Review of Baby Mama (2008) by William R — 30 Mar 2010
This relatively inoffensive and amusing comedy follows the story of a successful businesswoman as she tries to have a child in her late 30s. Discovering her chances of having a child are one in a million, she hires a surrogate to carry her child, but things take a slight turn to the strange when the surrogate leaves her common-law husband and stays with her.
The film is basicaly all filler, and while it touches on some fairly big social issues, it does so in a non-confronting superficial manner. The jokes are okay, but it never quites hit the mark. Certainly not the worse film I've seen, but by no means the best.
A good film if you're wanting chewing-gum for the eyes.
