Review of Baby Mama (2008) by Lovable M — 23 Aug 2010
Hard to resist. And definitely refreshing to see these two hilarious ladies controlling the laughs in an otherwise Judd Apatow dominated genre. Fun all around, though completely predictable, and owes a great deal to the chemistry and comedic brilliance of Poehler and Fey.
Would have preferred to see what Tina Fey would have done with the material (aspects of the story have a far too conventional slant which beg to be derided), but as it stands, the ladies (incl. Sigourney Weaver) do a great (and occasionally fantastic) job with what they have to work with.
