Review of Baby Mama (2008) by Movie K — 11 Jul 2011

Was looking forward to the 2 comedic ladies but I find the humour lacking. Tina Fey is a successful career woman. Her boss is Steve Martin. Tina is old and still couldn't find a suitable partner. She try to get her fertilize but her chance of conceiving is low.

She try adoption centre but it will take many years for her turn. Sigourney Weaver the head of the surrogacy center introduce her to Amy Poehler. Her close boyfriend Dax Shepard seems like a slob. When Amy had a fight with him, she move in with Tina.

Renovating her home with all the child safety features including locking the toilet bowl, Amy couldn't open it and pee on the sink. Tina want Amy to eat organic food, vitamins etc. Steve is appointing Tina to be the the branhc manager.

Around the town scouting, Tina enter a smoothie shop operate by Greg Kinnear. Tina and Amy different lifestyle clash and Sigourney suggest they should spend time together. Dax want Amy to return but she refuse.

Their plan is to fake the pregnancy and cash in the money. Amy get a tummy to fake the pregnancy. To celebrate the store going smoothly on the way, Amy bring Tina to disco. Tina drop off halfway to find Greg.

Amy went home and is caught adjusting the tummy by the bellboy Romany Malco. Amy is going to escape as she can't bear to lie to Tina. Romany tell her to reveal truth. Tina unexpectedly bring Amy to ultrasound and surprisingly there's a baby.

It is Dax child. Tina go out on date with Greg and he told her he has a 12 year old daughter. At the shower party, Dax crash it saying Amy is not pregnant. Then everything is reveal. There's still a 50-50 chance it might be Tina's egg.

Amy and Tina quarrel and she move out. The dna test show it is Dax and Amy child. Tina is talking to Amy outside when her water broke. At the room, Tina fainted. Amy give birth to a girl. The doctor tell Tina to take care and she is pregnant.

Everyone is happy and gather at the birthday party.
