Review of Baby Driver (2017) by Jordan S — 20 Feb 2018

Great film from start to finish, everything from the script, acting, music/soundtrack, directing, action sequences were done to near perfection.

The movie starts out very entertaining and doesn't slow down much, all the character are interesting and fleshed out. I also loved the fact that Flea from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers was in this, though his part was relatively small, his character translates to film very nicely.

Spacey, Foxx, Elgort, Gonzales and Hamm do a great job of carrying the film and every character feels integral to the story, there are no "needless" characters. Foxx in particular was excellent and his fast talking wit really completes the film. Also, the soundtrack, you could almost say it is a character in and of itself.

Spacey, despite recent improprieties, was excellent. Though my one and only complaint about the film is that Spacey's character feels typecast, like we have seen renditions "doc" many times before.

Overall, if you are into heist films and you like classic rock, this is the film for you.
