Magnificent opening! Fueled with action and energy. I love the sort of nudge and reference to the way Shaun does his morning routine in Shaun of the Dead in this movie. Why does that guy from Walking Dead always play a bastard?

I can definitely relate to Baby in the way that he lives on music. Always listening to music, always trying to find some escape through it. It's an intersting life this boy lives. On one hand, he dabbles in criminal activity but on another, he's just trying to live a normal boy's life. Kevin Spacey is brilliant in this movie. I always love the roles he plays. He can be pretty ruthless.

I could already tell that the one job was going to go wrong once Baby let the toy car drop. I love the use of the hum drum sound whenever things are getting tense or Baby's getting nervous. Really clever to see how Jame Fox's character figured out the backstory to Buddy.

The diner scene, where all the crooks and Baby go into the diner, reminds me heavily of Tarantino. Your can feel the tension and your just waiting for it to explode. It's brilliantly done. Jamie Fox's character is one evil demon-headed motherfucker. I hope his character gets what's coming to him. Hilarious seeing those twins that were covered on a Vice episode.

Overall, great action film by Edgar Wright.
