Review of Baby Driver (2017) by Lea A — 26 Nov 2017
I don't understand what the hype of this movies is: yeah so what good soundtrack? Action sequences that match the beat? Who cares? That is not enough to sell me on this film. Jamie Foxx's character is improperly introduced.
The script is annoying. I am not sold on Foxx's ability to read situations. And who cares about all the personal questions re Hamm's character? It tries to be deeper and cooler, but it fails. It moves too slow when there is no driving going on.
And how does Spacey's character go from super decisive to asking if everyone is still into doing the job? Oh and it is also predictable. So 93% critics rating really should be 60%. It is just as awful as the Netflix show, Ozark.
