Review of Baby Driver (2017) by Meilongdong — 19 Sep 2017

Being a fan of racing and cars, I bought this movie without seeing if first (I don't recommend it). It started out cool with a cool opening scene but it never got to where I was expecting it to go. I didn't feel like I was watching an action/musical (which I thought it was gonna be) There was way too much dialogue to be a musical.

Spacey's character is a waste of talent and could've been played by anybody along with Fox. The movie started out about a bunch of professional thieves, but thieves they are not. They're just psycho and that's it with no regard for innocent lives or anyone other than themselves and they all blame Baby for their problems even though it ultimately isn't.

That cool car on the movie poster? It's in one scene for a minute or two. It isn't the type of film to watch multiple times (an actual musical would've been) so I'm sure that was the first and last time I'll watch it.

I was expecting more from all the buzz.
