Review of Baby Driver (2017) by Neutralmilkh — 06 Jul 2017
For a movie that has a lot of supporting characters with no background, they are very well-fleshed out and their motivations are clear (considering that it's something as simple as money!) Baby in particular has more complicated motivations, and they are revealed in tidbits throughout the movie, but it never throws the movie off track and is actually a helpful insight into the mind of Baby.
The action scenes are top-notch... I'll just leave it at that because that's the one part of the movie that no one should even be debating over. Baby's relationship with "a girl" was at first surprisingly realistic.
.. but as things start to get more troubling for Baby, it's hard to believe how the relationship with the "girl" was effected (That's how spoiler-free I can go when it comes to talking about that.
) All of the actor's performances in this movie are just enchanting... and just when you think a character is a really nice person, they end up being a bit of a **** ok, I'll stop talking about this before I get into something that'll really spoil the movie.
