Review of Baby Driver (2017) by Jamie D — 08 Jul 2017

This movie is way overrated! It was a lot of style and movement and color and music with no character development. Baby was deadly boring except for every 30 minutes or so when he danced or drove for 5 minutes.

There were glimpses of his inner thoughts and past, but no depth. Kevin Spacey played the boss, leader of the pack. If they'd conducted dozens of successful robberies, it seems very implausible that they would keep unstable, unprofessional thieves/murderers like Jamie Foxx around.

I know it was supposed to look cool when Baby danced down the street, but it just looked ridiculous when he bumped into everyone. He can drive 100 mph but can't walk down the street? This whole movie could have been much better, but the stars were overacting and the director was overreaching - trying to be big and bad and ending up lame.
