Review of Baby Driver (2017) by S M — 25 Jun 2017

This movie deserves a big opening weekend. Loud music with chases and generally filled with action, yet with just enough character development to draw you in without slowing the plot down.

Bits of Leone and Tarrantino can be found but this has Edgar's superb attention to detail and is much better than the budget deserves.

I'm sure I saw several uncredited cameos but with half hidden faces or brief cuts making you blink and miss them. Only time will tell if Wright slipped in some friends and fans into the background of this trail blazer.

Makes you want to find the old iPod and ear buds, jump in to the car and drive with your foot to the floor. Best film at theatres in many a month.
