Review of Baby Doll (1956) by Prashant R — 22 Oct 2007
What a film! This is clearly an underrated masterpiece. Tennessee Williams masterful screenplay's about a teenage diva, set in the poor rural south, is as much a dark comedy, as it is a social statement.
I believe the film was banned by the catholic church when it was released in 1956. It certainly is extremely sensual, but without an inch of skin on display. Watch this one NOW...
