Wow! Elia Kazan, Karl Malden, Caroll Baker, Eli Wallach!!! This movie sizzles and is a superb example of how to show sexuality on film, and how explicit sexuality ruins it. The scene on the swing has more tension than I've ever experienced in many similar moments of other films.
The look of the film is immaculate and who can not love the crazy Karl Malden as the overanxious, hot-headed husband.
