(1987) Baby Boom.
COMEDY DRAMA.
Very relatable and basic premise co-written by Nancy Meyers starring Diane Keaton as J.C. Wiatt comfortable as an one-time successful single woman in the workplace until her life becomes a burden once inheriting a baby from a distant relative. Forcing her to quit as a result of choosing to do a mediocre project behind a backstabber co-worker she does not respect. She then packs her bags and moves to Vermont for a fresh start where she tries to adapt the baby as her own advantage.
A film that is enjoyed by my mom and sisters which is a nice standard reflection about how women in general are able to triumphant after they can be unfairly mistreated in the workplace. A trend that is happening often these days about how 'single' women with children can become successful moguls without the assistance of men since they're as many parents with children customers as much as single people who have no children at all. Whenever I look at this movie, it reminds me about all the successful single women with children moguls who are writers, cooks and entrepreneurs.
3 out of 4 stars.
