Review of Babette's Feast (1987) by Rockmary M — 09 Dec 2009
There actually is a plot, but what this movie boils down to is a famous French chef preparing a single meal for a dozen simpletons in a remote Scandinavian village. It sounds boring, but for some reason it works.
And it makes you want to go blow a month's salary in some 5-star Parisian restaurant just to see if the food really is that good.
