Though never thematically focused as it seems to be, Babel nevertheless semi-captures the circulating melodrama we inflict unto ourselves. Being that it settles to be mere portrait (oh, how much better it'd be if a TV series.
..), this promises no ultimate satisfaction to the conundrum.
