Review of Babel (2006) by Julian B — 07 Aug 2014
An appropriate title on a film that intricately weaves fours different stories, perspectives, cultures, countries, lives, and victims into a multidimensional film. Brutally honest and gripping, this film forges some unique film editing to really pursue each victim of circumstance in different cultures.
No heroes, no villains, just people with real problems in life. Is there a language for loss, laughter, tears, or joy? A truly beautiful depressing and challenging film that left me thinking on the aspects of life.
