Review of Babel (2006) by Jacob G — 02 Apr 2010
Beautiful. One of those movies that follows four sets of main characters, so even though Pitt and Blanchett get top billing, they are only one portion of a larger picture. Though the four stories are linked, with varying degrees of relevance, they really can stand well on their own. The confusing aspect is trying to figure out the timeline--which probably would make a second viewing quite illuminating.
The length is... well, long. But I didn't find it too long, keeping in mind I took a couple of breaks to keep from getting stir-crazy.
