Review of Babel (2006) by Jonathan G — 05 Apr 2010
"A single gunshot heard around the world.".
The tag-line of the film is "If You Want to be Understood...Listen". Its title is Babel which refers to the tower that caused the confusion of languages. It's about four connected stories that involved four different races. It looks meaningful but I think it's not really an important film to remember. There were boring parts. But the parts that took place in Japan caught my attention, thanks to Rinko Kikuchi who played Chieko Wataya, a frustrated deaf-mute teenage girl. The other actors were good, too. The emotions of the characters in the film were powerful.
