Review of Babel (2006) by Cemil K — 04 Sep 2011
Beautifully depressing and thought-provoking. Incredible performances by Adriana Barraza, Rinko Kikuchi, and one of the few times that Brad Pitt has showed his acting abilities. The direction was nearly flawless, Inarritu produces such hopelessness until the last few scenes when he provides a glimmer of hope.
..however small that glimmer may be. People have spoken of there being no "point" or finality. The point is clear, the world won't be peaceful until wwe learn to communicate.
