Review of Babel (2006) by Wade T — 04 Jun 2012
This film is an epic analyzation of human carelessness, but at the same time is is filled with tons of bittersweet love. The story that really got me emotional was with Adriana Barazza and Elle Fanning.
All she wanted to do was go to her son's wedding, but what she ended up doing changed her life forever. Cate Blanchett's story was also a bit unnerving. I loved the way that her injury brought her and her husband back together.
Brad Pitt also had a great performance. This should have gotten Best Picture of 2006. I loved the departed, but I thought that Babel was a more mature and sophisticated contestant.
