Review of Bāhubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) by Yash B — 16 Nov 2018

I was surprised to learn that a movie that has the words "The Conclusion" in its title spends most of its runtime continuing the flashback sequence from the ending of the first chapter. This isn't a bad thing, as learning the backstory increases the dramatic weight of the action-packed finale.

I do feel this movie is slightly better overall since it has more impressive visual effects and the story was more engaging overall. I do feel the movie has a bit of a rocky start but eventually picks up and stays at a good pace from that point forward.

The action scenes are definitely very over the top, but they are entertaining. It's a solid follow up to this ultimately well told two-part story. I definitely think the time invested in watching both of them was worth it.
