This entry will be better than the last. The film I'm putting for this entry is called; "B. Monkey". I did like this film and of course this was an independent film. There is something to be said about that. Someone recently told me that movie studios are upset with the fact that more people are not going to the theater instead waiting to watch their films when they come out on DVD. Umm, I wonder why? Maybe if the studios would partner up with theater chains to lower prices as well as look at the quality of their films maybe they would have more asses in their seats. Again that's just my opinion. LOL! Okay, enough of my rant, back to B. Monkey. I thought there were parts to this film that could have been a little better but it didn't detract from the fact that this film kept me entertained. The only true issue I had was that the other characters kept going on how beautiful the main character was but the actress who played the main character wasn't all that pretty for the others to keep going on and on about. So, that wasn't all that realistic for me. Jared Harris, Jonathan Rhys - Meyers, and Rupert Everett lead this cast that brought this script to life. They did do a good job and the lead actress Asia Argento did a good job but I don't think the characters should have kept going on about how pretty her character is supposed to be (that part was a little far fetched for me). I thought that the writing for this script was actually good but not great. The writers brought up a few things that they didn't follow through with. I'm not sure if it was lost in editing or if was writing issue. So, I guess I was a bit unfair to them but a writer can make or break a film. "B. Monkey" is about this young jewel thief and her adoptive brother. When she falls in love with a school teacher and decides to make a clean break from it all, the young thief is put back into the business to pay off her mentor's debts. I would suggest this movie because over all I do think this film is good. The issues I had with this film could be mine alone. There isn't any extra bonus features for this DVD. Please see what you think..
