Cool fight scenes but some very sad elements. The samurai in white is just plain sadistic and I felt no remorse when he died. The synopsis is wrong(even on the back cover of the DVD) it takes place in 17th century Japan.
The battlefield in the beginning is Sekigahara which happened in 1600. The warlords they are to assassinate also were alive around that time.
