Review of Azumi (2003) by Jerome K — 06 Jan 2009
I saw this movie on Samuel L. Jackson's top 10 japanese movies, so I thought it was worth a viewing. I guess he and I have different tastes, because I hardly enjoyed this film. the acting and script are boring, and while the swordplay is alright at times, the constant use of kool-aid type of blood diminished the effect.
there's nothing inherently wrong with the film, it just could have been done so much better.
