Axeman has some serious problems, but it quite fun and is presented in the vein of an 80's slasher type movie.
The characters all start off pretty horrible, and the fact they are actually friends is really surprising. They are all unlikable stereotypes that are strangely self-aware. But after a couple get killed off/go missing, they start to behave kind of like normal people.
They make stupid mistakes, for sure, but in the end it is kind of fun.
And the dialog...so outrageously bad that it is hilarious.
