Review of Awaydays (2009) by Simon P — 15 Sep 2009
A bit of a muddle, like the two leads, this is much more than a straight forward hooligan film but it falls down in many ways. However, it nicely kicks off the crapness of the Thatcher era with some classic Adidas trainers, floppy fringes and a class period soundtrack.
An enjoyable watch and perhaps some nostalgia for those of us approaching or in our forties..
