Review of Away We Go (2009) by John M — 01 Aug 2010
Enjoyable little gem about what it's like to be in your 30's and not have the path mapped out. Krasinski and Rudolph excel as the couple in question and have so much chemistry. There are funny bits ( Gyllenhaal as the freaky friend who thinks the family should all sleep in one bed! ), touching ( promises on a bouncy castle! ) and heartbreaking ( sometimes it's just not fair ).
Was however slightly let down with the everything falls into place ending but overall a great film by Mendes.
