Review of Away We Go (2009) by Andrea M — 11 Apr 2010
Alright... so there were a handful of things that I liked about this movie.
1. The concept: almost a "Juno" but with adults.
2. The journey: Was a little rough around the edges and the final decision wasn't really clear but they brought in many viewpoints about parenting which I really enjoyed.
3. The Style: Again, very "Juno".
4. John Krasinski's character: really funny and cute. Boy, would he make a great dad!
5. Finally the way they brought in the concept of marriage and addressed the tragedy of miscarriages.
Like I said, the journey was a bit rough in regards to the characters not being married and the sexual references. However, this was a powerful movie in regards to the essence and responsibilities of parenting.
