Review of Away We Go (2009) by Philip S — 27 Aug 2010
Starts off slowly, but hits its stride midway and turns out to be quite a powerful little movie. I wasn't sold on the pairing of Krasinski and Rudolph at first, but it grew on me. There are some very good supporting performances, notably from Melanie Lynskey and Chris Messina (set in Montreal no less!).
Not sure what some other characters were doing there. Overall, a nice little film to take in on a lazy afternoon. Be forewarned: you may find it slightly depressing if you have fixed ideas on the notions of marriage and having kids.
